Анотація
Анотація. Мета студії полягає у здійсненні комплексного аналізу демографічних, суспільних та релігійних чинників, які визначали становище самотньої жінки (вдови) та самотнього чоловіка (вдівця) в суспільстві Гетьманщини другої половини XVIIІ ст. на прикладі сотенного містечка Грунь Гадяцького полку. Наукова новизна студії полягає в тому, що вперше у вітчизняній історичній науці населення сотенного центру Грунь Гадяцького полку Гетьманщини стало об’єктом комплексного соціально-демографічного дослідження через вивчення та аналіз сповідних розписів сільського населення Гетьманщини другої половини XVIII ст. З’ясовані інформативні можливості сповідних розписів, як матеріалу для дослідження соціально-демографічних процесів та поведінки населення, проведено їхнє порівняння з іншими джерелами: метриками, реєстрами та переписами населення. Оригінальність дослідження полягає в поглибленні розробки наукових досліджень про суспільство Гетьманщини та роль жінки-вдови та чоловіка-вдівця в ньому. Висновки. Доведено, що сповідальні розписи церков Груні мають велике значення в проведенні соціально-демографічних, історико-демографічних досліджень та мають високу репрезентативність. Аналіз і обрахунок основних показників удівства в сотенному містечку Грунь дозволило дослідити роль цієї мікрогрупи в житті соціуму і стверджувати, що вони відігравали значну роль. Доведено, що для досліджень мікрогрупи вдівців та вдів Груні найбільш репрезентативними є сповідні розписи парафіяльних церков. Ревізії несли військово-фіскальний характер, а метричні книги містять відомості щодо шлюбно-сімейних відносин.
