In order to ensure the proper organization of the editorial and publishing process, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) 50 UAH per page accepted for publication of the article.
The APC partially covers the costs associated with the preparation and publication of the manuscript, including:
administration and coordination of the double-blind peer review process;
literary and technical editing of the text;
proofreading;
plagiarism screening and academic integrity checks;
preparation of the article layout in accordance with the journal’s standards;
typesetting and formatting of illustrative materials;
preparation of the electronic version of the issue;
maintenance and technical support of the journal’s website;
archiving and ensuring accessibility of published materials.
The Article Processing Charge does not influence the peer review process or editorial decision-making. All submitted manuscripts undergo independent scholarly evaluation in accordance with the journal’s academic integrity standards and internal editorial procedures.
Payment is required only after the official notification of acceptance for publication has been issued by the editorial office. No fees are charged prior to a positive editorial decision.
In the event that a manuscript is rejected or requires substantial revision prior to reconsideration, no payment is requested.
Articles submitted by PhD candidates (postgraduate students) in specialty B9 "History and Archaeology" studying under state-funded programs are exempt from any publication fees, provided that the article is written solely by them (without co-authors).
It is mandatory to provide a certificate from the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE) confirming the student’s status as a Level III education candidate, as well as a recommendation from the academic supervisor, certified with the institution’s official seal and electronic signature.
