FRANZ FERDINAND D'ESTE: SOME NOTES TO THE BIOGRAPHY AND VIEWS IN THE CONTEXT OF DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN POLICY OF AUSTRIA-HUNGARY.

Abstract
The article presents the basic facts of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand life as a man, a statesman and a politician. The basic factors that influenced the formation of Archduke’s specific traits, education, hobbies, relationships among the Habsburg house, personal life and marriage choice, its impact on the future heir and his wife. The author depicts the peculiarity of the situation and the tragedy to the Franz Joseph’s throne in which the heir was Franz Ferdinand and his relations with other members of the dynasty and the emperor.
It was shown the activity of the heir to strengthen the Austro-Hungarian army and fleet, the problems of which he had known directly, since a significant portion of military service spent in the west. The main reasons for his negative attitude to the Austro-Hungarian dualism and its position in the Hungarian part, the essence of reform plans of the monarchy state system (tryalizm, federalism), developed in an environment of Franz Ferdinand were mentiobed in the article. The author analyzes Franz Ferdinand views on major foreign policy problems of Austria-Hungary: relations with Russia, Serbia, Germany and others.
