Анотація

Анотація. Мета статті – осмислити сучасну історіографію розвитку української науки в Східній Галичині автономічної доби. Методологічне підґрунтя становить міждисциплінарний підхід. Особливий акцент зроблено на структурно-функціональному системному аналізі історіографічних фактів та методі критичного аналізу документального матеріалу. Наукова новизна статті полягає у дослідженні малознаної проблеми особливостей сучасного історіографічного осмислення проблем розвитку української науки в Східній Галичині протягом другої половини ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. Висновки. У підсумку відзначено чималу увагу сучасних науковців до різнопланових аспектів, організаційних форм та повсякденних практик наукового середовища Східної Галичини в автономний період. Відтак на сьогодні створені значні напрацювання у галузі вивчення персонального, галузевого й інституційного рівнів наукової діяльності української спільноти в Східній Галичині. У сукупності це дає підстави для обґрунтованих висновків про визначальну роль краю в процесах модернізації інтелектуальної та наукової культури корінного народу габсбурзької провінції. Разом із тим, чимало дослідницьких тем усе ще очікують на детальне опрацювання. Передусім актуальною залишається потреба у створенні фундаментальних монографій, присвячених діяльності ключових наукових інституцій (передусім, Наукового товариства імені Шевченка). Окремої уваги та цілісного висвітлення потребують також провідні наукові періодичні видання (наприклад, «Записки НТШ», «Часопись Правнича і Економічна», «Студії з поля суспільних наук і статистики»). Також відчувається брак синтетичних праць з історії становлення природничих і технічних дисциплін, активний розвиток яких розпочався саме в добу автономії. Окреслені лакуни вказують на необхідність тіснішої міждисциплінарної взаємодії між фахівцями та координації їхніх дослідницьких зусиль.
