PROBLEM OF AGRONOMIC PERSONNEL INTERACTION WITH OBJECTS OF AGRO-CULTURAL INFLUENCE IN THE UKRAINIAN SSR IN PERIOD OF THE «NEP»

Abstract

Introduction. One of the important directions of professional activity of agronomists of Soviet Ukraine in the period of the NEP was interaction with the subjects of economic activity. It consisted first of all in serving the interests of peasant farms, establishing and establishing various cooperative forms of cooperation and collective farming. This, on the one hand, would accelerate the modernization of agricultural production, and on the other hand, a high level of employment of agronomists in the labor market was ensured.

Purpose. The problem of the professional activity of the agrarian workers of the Ukrainian SSR in the era of the NEP in contemporary historiography is presented less ideologically veiled and more complete than in previous historiographical periods. Some of her subjects are presented on the pages of monographs, collective works, encyclopaedias, dissertation researches, generalization works on agrarian subjects. The purpose of the article is to research the cooperation of agronomic workers with peasant farms, cooperative organizations, collective farms, and land communities during the NEP period.

Methods. Agronomists are considered on the one hand as intellectuals, and on the other hand they’re viewed as independent professional group. In any case they arouse interest if only because they played fundamental role in society and possessed high social rank.

Results. Significant role in conducting agronomic work in the period of the NEP

belonged to the land authorities. Their attention is mainly focused on servicing the peasant individual farms. As a result, the nature of the work of agronomists was known a certain part of the peasantry, first of all «middle peasants». In public сonsciousness of farmers prevailed positive attitude to agronomists.

The development of new forms of management contributed to the expansion of the circle the cooperation of agronomists and the demand for them on the labor market. Important place belonged to agricultural cooperation, which managed to own attract a significant amount of agronomists. The latter concentrated their own work in separate sectors of the peasant farms served relevant special cooperative societies. Agronomists fulfilled their duties on an ongoing basis in specific economic associations and responded to them for the results agrobusiness questions about their own regular agronomists were violated also collective farms and land communities. Initiation of land institutions, without doubt, showed the awareness of the needs of landowners in agronomic service and recognition of the important role of agronomists in economic life.
